Gator Beach

What’s in a name? A lot of teeth if you head east to Gator Beach! Aptly named, Gator Beach is certainly a beach, but it’s located within Fudpucker’s Restaurant in nearby Destin. Open at 11 a.m. daily, guests are invited to feed the gators and snap some photos while holding a live alligator. The shenanigans happen daily until the restaurant closes. You can also join a guided tour of gator beach throughout the day, or check out an interactive gator show.

Larger groups can book private gator experiences with the on-site handler Daniel Williams. Florida and gators are a natural pairing, and in this safe and thrilling environment you’ll get up close and personal with these scaly locals. Plus, Fudpucker’s features some of the best fare and drinks in town.

Work Up an Appetite?

Adrenaline can certainly do a number on appetites, and Fudpucker’s has you covered. The beachside bar and grill hosts a number of theme nights including dinner shows and special performances. With an arcade on site, fishing series, watersports and more, it’s so much more than “just” a restaurant.

Daily happy hour includes $4.95 margaritas and special adult punch. The eclectic cocktail menu pairs wonderfully with popular items like Gator Tail a la Fud, hot crab dip (free with the purchase of two entrees), world famous chicken thighs, stuffed shrimp parmesan and alligator gumbo.
