Celebrate New Years On The Emerald Coast

Honoring the New Year is one of only a handful of traditions universally cherished around the globe, and with just about every nation now celebrating, to some degree. Here are some things to do on the Emerald Coast for New Years!

Pensacola

The family friendly Pensacola Pelican Drop will return to Blue Wahoos Stadium on New Year’s Eve 2018 for it second straight year.

From 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 31, the free event will feature two local bands, on-field activities for kids and families, fireworks, appearances by Wahoos mascot Kazoo and of course, the Pelican Drop.

The concession stand will be open the entire time.

On the same night, the Wahoos will also host Kazoo’s Rockin’ Eve, a private party featuring a gourmet buffet. That runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and both adults and kids are welcome.

Tickets are $75 for adults and $20 for kids. They will be available Nov. 15 and can be purchased on the Blue Wahoos website.

Kazoo’s Rockin’ Even attendees can enjoy dinner, fireworks and the Pelican Drop from the Hancock Whitney Bank Club that overlooks Pensacola Bay

If there is one thing we don’t want to miss, it is street performers! The annual Countdown Seaside begins at 7:00 PM on New Year’s Eve with live music, kid’s activities, face painting, food, and you guessed it – street performers!

There will be a fantastic firework show at midnight over the Gulf of Mexico. How is that for ringing in a new year!
