Christmas in the Park

On December 2, the local Chamber of Commerce brings the holidays to the beach at the annual Christmas in the Park celebration. For 23 years, the annual event has taken place from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the foot of the Navarre Bridge. A holiday marketplace offers prime shopping for one of a kind gifts, treats and goodies. Shop the treasures from Bobby Langham, Lilla Rose-Lisa Sutton, Pebble Nest and much more.

Locally made ornaments are also available for purchase at the Navarre Chamber Tent. At 2 p.m., the Navarre Community Christmas Parade kicks off at Navarre Library before rolling through the streets of Presidio, through Esplanade Street and ending at Centennial Bank. Watch A Time to Dance, the Holley Navarre Fire District, Navarre Krewe of Jesters and other local bands that take to the streets to entertain onlookers in a festive fete.

Holidays in Paradise

Throughout the day, free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus are available. Bring your camera and snap a selfie. The couple will arrive on a fire truck at the start of the parade and pass out candy canes and other sweets throughout the afternoon. You’ll also spot the Grinch throughout the park, surprisingly happy to take a photo with those who dare to approach him.

Snap up some free baked pastries and hot beverages at Mrs. Claus’ Bakery. Reindeer Games start at 11 a.m. for little ones including a cake walk and “Fair Hair.” Face painting by Midnight Expressions and holiday craft projects at Santa’s Workshop are also returning this year. Stop by Mr. Grinch’s eatery for a chili pie before settling in for hours of live entertainment.
