Feeling Chili?

The Santa Rosa Kids’ House third annual chili cook-off is taking place April 2, and you’ll be reaping many of the benefits! Located close to Navarre, FL hotels, Ollie’s is hosting this year at 6181 Highway 90 in Milton. April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month, and all proceeds from the cook-off benefit the Santa Rosa Kids’ House, a local provider of services to neglected and abused children. Sponsorship levels begin at $100, although anyone is welcome to sample the entries for just $5 per person.

Teams are battling it out to whip up the most delicious chili in Navarre, and tastings begin at 3pm. First, second, and third place winners will be announced along with a People’s Choice Award, so be prepared to judge wisely. Many Floridian chili recipes are innovative, featuring seafood and Cuban flare reflective of the region.

Chilling Out
