MDA Fill-the-Boot Campaign
Your local firefighters have started up their annual MDA Fill-the-Boot Campaign. They will be setting up at the Navarre Walmart on Sept. 30, 4 to 8 p.m. and Oct. 1, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in order to raise awareness for muscular dystrophy, as well as collect donations to the cause.
Pensacola Seafood Festival

This free kid’s fishing pole giveaway and clinic is staged at Navarre Beach Pier, 8579 Gulf Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. First 500 children under 12 receive a free fishing pole, t-shirt and hat. The Gulf Breeze Community Expo will be on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7 & 8. Glass Pumpkin Patch
First City Art Center’s 10th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch takes place on Saturday, Oct. 8th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1060 N. Guillemard St. This year, attendees will have over 3,000 hand-blown glass and hand-thrown clay pumpkins to choose from. The pumpkins are created by members of First City Art Center’s glass and pottery guilds. Prices for pumpkins begin at $30. The Pumpkin Patch is First City Art Center’s largest fundraiser of the year and the sale helps support programs and outreach throughout the year. Holley Hill Pottery &Art Studio
Coast Kiln Walk Society has the largest wood fueled anagama kiln and the only reconstructed wood fueled kiln from the 1940s in the State. Holley Hill Pottery has been making pottery in Santa Rosa County
for over 30 years using local clays capturing the lifestyle, scenery and sea life of the Gulf Coast. Studio will be open Oct. 8, 15, 22 & 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 7505 Buckeye Dr.
Sea Turtle Extravaganza
