MDA Fill-the-Boot Campaign
Your local firefighters have started up their annual MDA Fill-the-Boot Campaign. They will be setting up at the Navarre Walmart on Sept. 30, 4 to 8 p.m. and Oct. 1, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in order to raise awareness for muscular dystrophy, as well as collect donations to the cause.

Glass Pumpkin Patch
First City Art Center’s 10th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch takes place on Saturday, Oct. 8th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1060 N. Guillemard St. This year, attendees will have over 3,000 hand-blown glass and hand-thrown clay pumpkins to choose from. The pumpkins are created by members of First City Art Center’s glass and pottery guilds. Prices for pumpkins begin at $30.
